Dodger got his name for a reason: he is 15 years old and in constant trouble with the law. He is also the subject of a care order from County Durham Social Services. His mother suffers from depression and can't cope with him. He has lived with a number of foster carers since he was 10.

The film documents a final attempt by social workers to settle him at home with his mother and back in school. It's Dodger's last chance to get on the straight and narrow, but can they make it work?
