Ecem Sinay
I am a self-shooting documentary director currently based in Cyprus. After graduating from University of Reading with a degree in art, I went to materialise my passion in documentary at Goldsmiths where I grew to become a self-sufficient and confident storyteller. Currently, I work as a content producer at Near East University; I direct and edit weekly interviews for the university’s social media as well as other productions. Alongside my job, I still continue my practice in art where I work with local communities and artists to recreate harsh creative industries into becoming completely inclusive and innovative. I am a passionate and resilient filmmaker who aspires to make my own socially aware documentaries through intimate stories.

Before focussing on directing, I worked for several years across feature film/TV production in London and New York.
